Terrible experience! Had about 30 minutes to kill so we stopped here to get an appetizer to kill time. Ordered bruschetta, took almost 40 minutes to receive our order, and it only had 3 small pieces! In addition to the slow service and small portions our bill was $35! They charged us for our water, and a cover charge of $12, $4 per person, including our 4 year old daughter.
The place is pretty and the food tasted good. Thats the only two things that are good and that's why they get two stars. To start off service was pretty bad specially compare to all the other restaurants in Miami beach where they treat you so well and service is quick. They kept forgetting the food we asked for and taking sooo long to get anything. The portions are so small we were all still hungry. We were offered 20% off and the price was still outrageous. And some crazy $1 cover charge. Nope, save your money time and frustration. Go anywhere else, so many other options.
If I could I'd give zero stars... Just got back from there with my family and we spend a lot of money for a awful dinner, two of us couldn't even eat the pasta, the service is very slow, the girl was nice but seemed like she was the only one working there. 2 of our orders came wrong, and no one came to check on us or looked at us, we didn't eat. The other 2 meals were more "eatible". The beer was warm. The pastas were super dry and weren't cooked right, also they were smelling funny. We saw 2 other tables giving their food back because it was wrong. I feel bad for the waitress..
Do not eat here if you're a tourist. The pasta is just kind of a lukewarm blob. Lobster ravioli probably contained .01% actual lobster. And even though the price on the menu says $24, when they bring you the check it will say $28. Plus another 18% gratuity. Tried to send it back but our server just ignored us. Paid for our drinks and walked out. Yuck!
The quality of the pasta is excellent, and that is the reason why we go there first every time we are in Miami Beach. Even more important for us is the "Italian Style" of the service, is not the fastest , but for that I will go to a fast food. Is human , simple, and dedicated to the quality. If you want to get drunk is not your place. If you want to test a excellent glass of wine that will underline your meal Piccola Cucina is right restaurant
Service was great. Nice environment and great wine selection. Owner seemed like a nice guy. Food was terrible, and I'm Italian. The chef is Italian as well, but you wouldn't know it by eating his terrible food. For what we got we overpaid big time, never again will I waste my time and money in this place unless I am there to just have a glass of wine. I had the Carbonara, no good, tasted like something may have burnt in the pan? My girlfriend had the Butternut Risotto, flavor was good, but the first bite contained a large uncooked piece of Risotto that nearly chipped her tooth. Don't go here, a cheap pizza place down the street is most likely better.
Worst place ever!!! Food tastes like garbage!!! Drinks are disgusting!!! Menu prices are different from the display, like 5-6 $ more. We were waiting for the drinks for 25 min and it was 11pm on Monday, there was only 2 more tables sitting and guess what? Mojitos tasted like it was some cheap rum inside and served in a tiny glasses. When food arrived it was different from what we ordered. Salmon was too salty , white color and steak looked like pork with the fat strips in the middle. Instead of sautéed spinach which goes with salmon they put mixed greens. Totally waste of money and time!!!
Worst experience ever! The service was terrible, the staff didn't know the prices on the items that was not written in the menu and the prices was the same as on a fine dining. To pay 9,50 dollars for a Blue Moon beer is a joke. And to charge you 6 dollars for tapwater is lower then scams on the street outside. The food was plain, no taste, small portions and overpriced! First and last time on this place! Go to the other side of the street and you will be much more happy...
